WN1 IT gets on its bike – again.

Kevin Bates WN1 IT’s Technical Director, the least sporty one of the team, will be heading off on a 60 mile bike ride from Old Trafford at Manchester to the South Prom at Blackpool. This is his story…

“The 60 mile journey started last year when my father-in-law and brother-in-law completed the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride in aid of Wigan & Leigh hospice (www.wlh.org.uk) and as I'm the fitness freak type (so not), I sort of remember saying I'd do it this year. So here I'm, my name is on the list asking for either you to join me on the ride (it might be too late for this year - but there is always next year!!) or kindly donate to my fund raising efforts.

The Hospice is an independent charity with care being provided free of charge to around 900 new patients every year. Who rely on the generosity of people within the local community and beyond who have supported the Hospice over the past 25 years. They recently cared for my Grandad (in law) through possibly the most heart breaking time in his life.

So far this year my two girls Amelia and Madison have raised money on several occasions for the hospice by making Christmas cards and book marks etc. and managed to get their pictures in the local papers! So now it is my turn.

Anyway I'm off for a bike ride as I need the practice after I fell off two weeks ago and damaged my knee.”

If you could kindly donate goto http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/KevinBates and mention WN1 IT and we’ll match the amount.
